The American Heart Investment Committee (AHIG) is proud to launch the Salon & Barbershop Business Grant Program, offering $500,000 in funding to support small business owners in the beauty and grooming industry who have faced financial hardship.
This national initiative will award 50 grants of $10,000 each to licensed salon and barbershop entrepreneurs, providing not only vital financial assistance but also access to mentorship, business development tools, and certification resources. AHIG is committed to empowering historically underserved business owners and strengthening local communities through direct investment.
💼 What You’ll Receive:
- $10,000 business grant for eligible salon or barbershop owners
- Business development resources and support
- Mentorship and group coaching
- Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) certification resources for top finalists not selected for funding
✅ Who Can Apply:
To be eligible, applicants must meet all of the following criteria:
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a licensed barber, hairstylist, or cosmetologist
- Demonstrated financial hardship
- Proof of ownership or lease of a salon, suite, booth, or chair
- Business must be operational for at least 1 year

Note: The top 40% of non-selected finalists will receive extended business development support.
